Anger Management Strategies And Advice

I got angry easily and couldn't believe the way some people treated me. I wanted to teach them a lesson that would help them mend their ways. The only way I could think of responding was to yell at them, threaten them, or use violence against them.

I'll give you an example of a situation where a person basically cheated on me with a large amount of money.

I was looking to turn my front yard into a driveway and there were several people in the house, all of whom gave me quotes for the job.

I decided to accept a quote from John who seemed to be a very kind and trustworthy man. He and his team spent a few days preparing for the driveway during which I provided them with good food and drink, we all got along very well.

He recommended that I not park my car in the new unit for a few days to allow it to settle and harden. I waited a week and then drove my car to the new driveway. To my horror, the hallway collapsed and I later found out from a friend that they weren't anything hardcore (I think that's what it's called).

I tried to contact John but he didn't answer his phone, I went to see him and he didn't answer his door. I got angrier and angrier and began to plot my revenge.

I had many options in court that I could and did have. It was a long process and John basically had no money to reimburse me, although he finally admitted responsibility for it.

Now I have decided to let nature take its course and go. This is not just from the above situation but from any similar event.

When my wife bores me, I go just to calm down. I was once told to count to ten, which is definitely a good idea.

Being angry, as I have always been, is not good for my health and causes me stress, depression, and a lack of sleep.

Now I see people as apples in a bucket. Of ten apples, three will be rotten. Instead of getting mad at bad apples, I feel sorry for them.

I firmly believe in God and now I have decided that I do not need to seek any form of revenge, as he will be judge and jury on trial day. At this point, these people will have nowhere to hide.

Living life this way is so much easier for me and I just wish I had this approach and this form of anger management technique years ago.
